7/3 – We have reached the

Dawson Creek, British Columbia. The road stretches 1422 miles and was built in
just 9 months during World War II. At
this point we are still almost 1200 miles from the Alaska border. We will spend the next 8 or 9 days traveling
through British Columbia and the Yukon Territory in Canada before reaching
Alaska.
Today we visited the Dawson Creek Visitor Centre which contains the Mile 0 Cairn, Railway Station Museum and the Alcan Highway artifacts and film. We then checked into the Mile 0 RV Park which is next door to the Mile 0 Park where the Walter Wright Pioneer Village is located. The afternoon was spent wandering the Pioneer Village which was really excellent.
