Driving through New York’s Adirondack Mountains brought us to Fort Ticonderoga, which guards the historic portage between Lake Champlain and Lake George. Here nations fought to control a continent in the French and Indian War and in the struggle for America’s independence a generation later.
This afternoon we arrived in Quebec City which we will tour tomorrow.
